It was aimed at with this research to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of an antimicrobial chemotherapy
with differentiated formula, Enrofloxacin - Formula BAIK9, in the treatment of dogs attacked by
gastroenteritis virus. This way, 20 dogs were used, of both sexes, young, obtained of the routine of
attendance ambulatory of the Veterinary Hospital (HV) of UFCG and of the Veterinary Medical Center Dr.
Leonardo Torres (CMVLT) in Patos-PB, with clinical diagnosis of gastroenteritis. The animals were
distributed in an aleatory way in two groups denominated experimental Group Control (GCO) and I Group
Treatment (GTR), of equal number (n=10). in the animals of GCO it was adopted the standard therapeutic
protocol close to for gastroenteritis the antibiotic Enrofloxacina, in the dose of 5mg/kg/IV SID, for seven
days, while in GTR, the same therapeutic protocol of GCO was used, substituting traditional Enrofloxacin
for the associated enrofloxacin the Formula BAYK9, in the dose of 7,5 mg/kg, in only dose. They were appraised the level of conscience, state nutritional, corporal temperature, heart and breathing frequencies, dehydration degree, mucous membranes, blood count, hepatic and renal biochemistry, total proteins and the agent's viral and/or involved parasitism determination. The obtained numeric data will be submitted to the variance analysis (ANOVA) followed by the test of Tukey (p <0,05). it is Ended that the enrofloxacin formula BAIK9 determined the patients' more precocious recovery attacked with gastroenteritis viral, not being verified any undesirable clinical alteration due to your formula and road of employed administration, could be indicated for the treatment of this infection revealing current benefits of the practiced of an only application, with that reducing the possibility of the development of collateral alterations of incriminated toxicant orders the especially enrofloxacin in young animals.
