Resumen:
The present work is inserted within the field of linguistic studies, more specifically, the study of lexical variations of language in poems by Patativa do Assaré. In this sense, the main objective is to study the aspects of linguistic variation, from the origin of the Portuguese Language that comes from Latin, on Patativa do Assaré’s cordéis, in the sense of recognizing its language as representative of northeastern culture. And to reach it, we list as specific objectives: Briefly to describe the history of the Latin Language and the formation of the Portuguese Language, principally focused on the lexical aspects of the Brazilian Portuguese; To identify in the poetic language of the author’s cordéis aspects of lexical variation; To propose a didactic sequence from the study of lexical variation in two cordéis, in view of a didactic proposal to elementary school as a way to understand better the teaching of Portuguese, focusing on the historic knowledge of the language. The work is characterized as a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research, since we start from the reading and analysis of the poems A vida aqui é assim and Vingança de matuto, of the Ceará poet cited above. Therefore, we anchor our theoretical reflections in scholars of the area, such as Bagno (1999, 2002, 2007,2010, 2012), Spina (2008), Banza (2010), Botelho (2013), Coutinho (2011), Câmara Jr (1979), among others. With this, we observed that the poems studied, in their great majority, present lexical variations that can be understood through the metaplasms. In addition, based on the analysis of these poems, we proposed an activity in the form of a didactic sequence; not as a ready-made model, but as an alternative study of the relationship between spoken language and written language in elementary school.
