Leitura na universidade: Representações e práticas de estudantes e professores do Curso de Pedagogia do CFP/UFCG.

Abstract

The present work aims at studying Pedagogy students’ representations and practices of reading. The research was accomplished at Centro de Formação de Professores – Universidade Federal de Campina Grande. To concretize it a 50 students sample was employed, divided into daytime and nocturnal students, distributed in different course progress stages: beginning, middle and end-of-course. The objective of the investigation was to be acquainted with, analyze and comprehend the representations and practices of reading of such university students. The work is methodologically oriented on a qualitative research perspective, equipped with data collection to a semi-structured interview modality. We are theoretically based on social representation, university and reading studies.
