Abstract:
This work has as main focus a reflection on pedagogical issues of the libertarian in Brazil at the beginning of the twentieth century, a period of intense social change, political and economic. The analysis was performed by a worker and anarchist newspaper, A Plebe (The Mob), in the city of São Paulo, between the years 1917 and 1935. This newspaper has left an important legacy to society, with the labor movement. The objective of this paper was to rescue the libertarian thinking in Brazil in relation to education. The relevance of this research consists in the knowledge of the contribution of pedagogical proposals made by anarchists during the period in study. Copies of the newspaper A Plebe were collected from the personal archive of mentor of the search. These ones were cataloged in chronological order. Among the many topics discussed in the analyzed articles, we can highlight: society, church, State, school, child, teacher, manual labor to intellectual labor, science and art, education teaching and practice and other social visions. By reading these articles, we can understand an important period for the formation of Brazilian institutions. Having as a theoretical contribution a different look from that shown by the specialized literatures.
