Análise de manifestações patológicas devido à ausência ou falha no sistema de impermeabilização: estudos de casos em Boa Ventura – PB.

Abstract

Pathological manifestations in civil construction are problems that arise after the completion of the work and can be caused by several factors, such as failures in the design, execution or improper use of the property. These manifestations may compromise the safety, aesthetics and functionality of the building, in addition to to generate financial losses for the owners. The present work aims to objective to analyze the pathological manifestations that are recurrent in buildings due to failure or absence of waterproofing systems, starting this study through bibliographic research on the subject, followed by case studies in three single-family homes in the city of Boa Ventura-PB. The results acquired during the case studies could conclude that the manifestations pathologies related to the failure or lack of waterproofing systems, which were more recurrent in the buildings were mold, paint peeling, humidity in ceramic coverings, accidental humidity, infiltration in floors, infiltration by capillarity in walls; already the waterproofing agents that were suggested for the solution of the problems stood out the polymeric mortars, mortar with water repellent additive, asphaltic membranes and asphaltic blankets.
