Abstract

In this context, the identification of normative inconsistencies is fundamental. To carry out this study, the execution of a single-family residence in Pombal - PB during the period of four months (October 2022 to February 2023). Executive errors were recorded in the parts structures and masonry, in addition to identifying possible causes of manifestations pathologies in constructive failures. Resistance tests were also carried out. compression of concrete and ceramic blocks. The results showed that the concrete used in the superstructures did not meet the minimum strength required by NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014). In addition, there were flaws in the execution of the foundations, pillars, beams and slabs, such as inadequate dimensions, steel with a diameter smaller than the required and lack of compliance with various standards related to concrete armed. The sealing masonry also presented executive failures. These nonconformities indicate the existence of conceptual and executive errors that can lead to pathologies. It is important to emphasize that such manifestations tend to get worse over time and may cause the appearance of other associated pathologies. Therefore, it is essential to identify these manifestations as soon as possible to facilitate and reduce the costs of the correction process. A practice of self-construction, without observing the norms and monitoring appropriate professionals, therefore, may be responsible for several manifestations pathological conditions, compromising the safety and comfort of users.
