Abstract:
The reuse of scraps oil used in frying foods is an alternative to production of ECOLOGICAL SOAP", a product that does not cause environmental degradation that can be decomposed by bacteria after use. This work seeks to contribute to improvement of communities life, with main advantages: raw material economy, combating waste, reduction of environmental pollutants and economic potential for commercialization, thereby contributing to sustainable development. The study was conducted at two places in semiarid region of Paraiba's semi-arid, contributing to the low-income population, through the cheapening on acquisition of that cleaning supplies, which is manufacturing by communities at low-cost and quickly, which will promote environmental education, besides being an alternative source of income for people. The main objective was ecological soap production and characterization by tests to determine the moisture and volatile at microwave oven method ABNT NBR 13903, determination of pH - ANVISA, and sensory analysis by color, odor and texture. It was manufactured soap from reipes developed and tested in experimental chemistry laboratory of Center of Sustainable Development in Semi-Arid of Federal University of Campina Grande. After production, the soap has been tested by the community so that would use as household cleaning material and analyze some properties. Analyzes carried out with soap indicate that the product is of good quality and complies with required standards for manufacture and/or production.
