Resumo:
On the main streets of Brazilian cities it is common to find so-called flanelinhas. O The objective of these people is to carry out an activity that provides them with income and guarantees their livelihood of the family. Brazil has always faced challenges in designing, implementing and public policies.
These difficulties mainly affect the low-income population who live on the margins of society. The objective of this research was to analyze municipal public policies that serve informal traffic light workers in the city of Patos – PB. To that end, it was descriptive quantitative research was carried out in order to enable a better understanding of the problem. Furthermore, the research also used a literary collection composed of articles, books, dissertations and theses, in addition to data obtained through websites of official institutions that
demonstrated direct and indirect correlations with the study proposal. It was also carried out a field research between the months of February and March 2023, with around 10 flannels.
As a result, it can be observed that existing public policies in the city of Patos - PB are aimed at all low-income residents, not specifically for those
flannels. In relation to child labor, it was found that despite inspections the
The problem still persists, given the lack of consistency in daily inspection. As a suggestion, the This study exposed the need for constant inspections in relation to child labor of flanelinhas and the elaboration and implementation of public policies aimed at these people in a special way.
