Resumen:
The Brazilian (re)democratization process reached its peak with the establishment of the 1988 Federal Constitution, which provides for individual and collective rights, establishing norms programs and guidelines to be fulfilled by the Public Power in favor of the country's political evolution. In this context, the relevance of society's collaboration in government political decisions was observed, as its members are considered stakeholders and the first to feel the consequences of erroneous decisions made by public managers. Thus, the Basic Governance Framework (RBG) was developed, which comprises good governance practices in a structured way in order to contribute to the better functionality of public bodies and encourage the application of such governance practices by managers. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the progression of the concept and expectation of governance in the Brazilian public sector. For this, scientific articles found on the Scielo, Google Scholar and Capes platforms from the last decade (2013-2022) related to the topic were selected. The research is considered qualitative as it seeks to portray the object of study using a bibliographic and documentary approach in addition to data tables
numerical and percentages. It was found that national articles published on governance in the public sector mostly address standards and applicability. Furthermore, it was found that few studies cited the Basic Governance Framework, which had its latest edition published by the TCU in 2020 and brings new guidelines for good governance. There was also a decrease in publications in the last ten years, considering the three digital libraries.
