Resumo:
Cities represent the main locus for improving human relations and
development of society. However, it is undeniable that the process of modernizing
cities, contributed to the existence of negative environmental consequences, among which,
intensification of pollution (atmospheric, noise, visual), the accumulation of waste and the
global warming are some examples of urban problems that are looming large in cities.
Thus, it is formulated as a problem: is it possible to recognize cities as spaces of
achievement of human dignity, based on sustainable public management? The objective of
research lies in demonstrating that the development of sustainable public management is
a fundamental pillar, so that cities can ensure the well-being and dignity that are
desires. To this end, this theoretical investigation is supported by the analytical-deductive method, the
