Resumo:
Sowing is the ideal place for the germination of some vegetable seedlings, such as lettuce, coriander, chives and parsley, which will not suffer from the transplant, as well as having humidity and temperature controlled, ensuring greater chance of success in germination. In this work, we analyzed the feasibility of using biodegradable material in making sowing for the production of lettuce seedlings in small spaces (apartments, leisure areas and houses) and also for larger commercial agricultural areas that are located in the rural areas of the municipalities. Sowing, to be sustainable, takes into account the generation of jobs and income, the minimum of environmental impacts and the increase in the quality of life of the population. Therefore, the preparation of the sowing proposed in this work aims to meet, as far as possible, the three dimensions of sustainability, namely: economic, environmental and social. The prototype of the suspended sowing proved to be viable for the purpose that was conceived, so it can be adopted by producers of organic vegetable seedlings in the countryside and in the city as an alternative for sustainable sowing.
