Resumo:
An optimization method based on Genetic Algorithms is proposed in order to solve problems of reconfiguration and restoration of radial electric power distribution systems. The binary encoding was used and to reduce the search space an specifically designed genetic operators for problems characteristics was developed. Before optimization, the main characteristics of the problem like switches opening to isolate fault and number of rings in the system are getting. An specific load flow to radial distribution systems was used. Some tests were performed using well known radial distribution systems models in the literature on the subject. All tests have been successfully solved using the proposed method.
