Abstract:
In order to contribute to the school being a welcoming place for women students of Youth and Adult Education -EJA- this work aims to produce pedagogical material (in ebook format) that can help teachers in promoting actions aimed at combating the causes of school dropout of these women. Therefore, we try to understand the difficulties that the students of the EJA of E. E. E. F. and M. EJA Prof.º Geraldo Lafayette Bezerra, in João Pessoa (PB), face to stay and complete their studies. To provide a theoretical basis for this research, we dialogued with authors such as Heilborn e Sorj (1999), Louro (2017), Saffioti, (1987), Bourdieu (2012), Hill Collins e Bilge (2021) e Judith Butler (2017), Paulo Freire (1996, 1897, 2000). Among others, our research aims to answer the following questions: what are the difficulties a woman faces to get to the classroom? Are these difficulties different from those of men? Is there any right, guaranteed to women, being neglected? What are the reasons that make them give up (and evade) EJA, are they related to public policies? As a result, we have sociological analyzes and concepts that shed light on the analytical issues of gender, school dropout, domestic violence and public policies in the EJA modality of basic education.
