Resumo:
Given the urgency to mitigate environmental issues, world conferences were held, originating several important documents, namely the Earth Charter, Agenda 21 and the Brundtland Report, bringing discussions in order to raise awareness among humanity aimed at the challenge of living sustainably. and find the right path to maintain balance between the economy and the environment. The objective of this work is to analyze the results of Environmental Education carried out in scientific journals over the last 4 years (2018-2021), obtained through qualitative and quantitative research through a search on the Web of Science. Bibliometric research analysis was used. The database used was the Web of Science Core Collection - Wos (v.5.34), using the Clarivate Analytic tool in Web of Science. Research on Environmental Education and solid waste is increasing, mainly due to its importance in environmental issues, in 2021 with the largest number of publications totaling 919. The Web of Science category that stood out was Environmental Sciences and the largest number of publications was held in China. The main journals associated with research were also identified, such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, Science of the total Environment and Environmental Science and Pollution Research. The article with a significant number of citations is “Recent applications of waste solid materials in pavement engineering” and of the 25 most cited articles, the majority address literature reviews. In Table 1, the most recent article with high citation stands out, whose authors are Raghu et al. (2021). In Environmental Education and solid waste, while research advances, there is still a need for research focused on studies that highlight the potential impacts determined by the absence of human behavior to minimize future problems.
