Resumen:
The general objective of this work is to point out the importance of the insertion of legal
education in basic education through the current reform of secondary education.
Regarding specific objectives, the monograph proposes to carry out a study on the
history of law and its relationship with education, as well as to carry out a historical
survey of the entire trajectory of Brazilian education and the reforms that have taken
place over time, as well as compare the Brazilian educational system with other
countries and present the new secondary education reform. The methodological
orientation of the research is based on the deductive approach method, using the
bibliographic and documentary research technique, characterized in terms of the
general objective as descriptive and exploratory, with a qualitative approach, and
through historical and statistical comparative procedures. Through this, it was
concluded through comparative analysis that the citizens, specifically, of Uruguay and
Portugal are more evolved due to the presence of legal education in the basic
educational system than Brazil, which has its teaching still precarious.
