Resumo:
This work describes the project and the development for the verification of the functionality of control of environmental parameters in an newborn premature incubator (NPI) through a hardware group and program modules, that integrated the programming language C for PIC microcontrollers and C++ Builder 6 for interface for the serial port of
the acquired data with the PIC18F4520 microcontroller, propitiate to the world express conditions so that temperature data, relative humidity and air flow velocity of an NPI are tested, monitored and stored in real time. These data can be viewed at the acquisition place or remotely through a TCP/IP network, Internet or by GSM/GPRS cellular phones by a wireless application protocol (WAP). The developed project offers a tool of low operation complexity, low cost, portable for different workstations and also can store and consult to the collected data. The main goal is to maximize the resources of medical staff and make possible a better care of the data of the clinical conditions of newborn premature. This environment offers the concept of teach-learning trough observation and application of new methods of approching and
treatment to the existing concepts in function of the knowledge acquired with the collected data. The modular conception of the project provides ways so that available technologies and to be developed in the future can be added to the environment, providing options to
different resources and materials.
