Resumo:
It is possible to conceptualize late adoption as the adoption of children over three years
of age, and adolescents, as they no longer fit the profile desired by the majority of
adoption applicants, who prefer children in early childhood. Thus, the problem of this
work sought to understand the impacts that lead to late adoption and how bureaucratic
processes influence the permanence of children and adolescents in institutional care
institutes for many years. Thus, this monograph had the general objective of analyzing
the Brazilian laws that deal with adoption and how their bureaucratization reflects on
late adoption, in addition to the situations that corroborate the maintenance of
institutionalized people in reception centers, allowing them to age and making their
integration into a family nucleus difficult. adoptive. Furthermore, it sought to
conceptualize adoption, analyzing its global historical context until its emergence in
Brazil, studying its development in Brazilian legislation and the application of the
institute throughout the country's history. The methodology used was the deductive
method, through descriptive, qualitative research and documents, using websites,
doctrines, scientific articles and Brazilian legal legislation. Through this research,
through a socio-legal analysis, it was possible to perceive a need for better speed of
the process by the Judiciary, in addition to social support to demystify prejudices in
society to provide greater support for these children and adolescents. It was also
possible to confirm hypotheses presented as influencing this stay in the national
adoption registry.
