Abstract:
In this work is propose a methodological model that allows the deployment and monitoring of
a Corporate Energy Management Program that aims to contribute to the reduction of losses
and elimination of waste of energy in industry, reducing one of the organizational barriers for
deployment of energy efficiency in business: the shortage of specific systems of power
management (SOLA, 2006 - abstract). The model is based on four pillars of management and
was developed in three basic steps by the structuring of a tool, called functional model, which
enables systematic actions and activities using traditional tools and concepts of quality, which
facilitates the promotion of energy efficiency continuously in the business environment. The
structure of the model was developed using the concept of continuous improvement and is
based on best management practices of energy currently used in developed countries like
Canada and the United States and defines the term "Organizational Learning Cycle" focuses
on energy management systems and characterized by the cycles of deployment and maturity
of the program in the organization.
