A (in)eficiência das audiências de conciliação virtuais, durante a pandemia do COVID-19, na Comarca de São João do Rio Do Peixe-PB.

Abstract

The health crisis caused by the spread of the new coronavirus has put the guarantee of access to justice at risk. The relevance of this work arises from the need to continue judicial protection through conciliation as a useful measure in the context of the pandemic generated by Covid-19. The objective of this research is to verify the use of the conciliation institute in the District of São João do Rio do Peixe in Paraíba, analyzing whether it was effective during the coronavirus pandemic. For research, the deductive method was used, using historical, sociological and legal material, using books, scientific articles, magazines, Brazilian legislation and access to the electronic system holding the collected data. Despite the incentive granted by the National Council of Justice, regarding the non-suspension of judicial provision, the conciliatory hearings held online were not successful in the District of São João do Rio do Peixe-PB, with the proposed attempts at agreement being unsuccessful, resulting in for both the Judiciary and the parties, the filing of the actions and the obvious disadvantage of not being able to reach a consensual resolution.
