The relationship between Physics and everyday life is often difficult to perceive, which
makes teaching the subject a challenge. However, using everyday objects as teaching
tools can bring students closer to scientific knowledge. This study focuses on the
Physics of household utensils from the perspective of the Three Pedagogical Moments,
targeting Youth and Adult Education classes. The objective is to analyze the impacts
of using everyday objects in Physics education within this context. This approach can
foster more active learning, allowing students to play a leading role in knowledge
construction. The use of household utensils bridges the gap between students' daily
life situations and provides a clearer understanding of the practical applications of
Physics. This makes learning more engaging, enhancing student engagement and
motivation. The study follows a qualitative didactic intervention, exploring topics such
as heat propagation, heat, and temperature, using practical results in a real-world
context. The analysis of the results indicates that the initial challenges in establishing
the relationship between Physics and daily life tend to diminish when everyday objects
are used as teaching tools. As a result, increased student interest, better content
comprehension, and the ability to apply knowledge in different situations were
observed.
