Resumen:
The object of study of this thesis is the trafficking of transsexuals and transvestites for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The general objective is to analyze and understand the factors that determine the occurrence of the crime, as well as ways to combat it in the field of public policies aimed at repressing trafficking and protecting victims. The dissertation is structured into three chapters that connect and provide a broad conception of the object. In this sense, this work brings
the concepts of Human Rights and the principle of human dignity and the need for State action to establish public policies to repress trafficking and protect trans victims. Furthermore, given the relevance of the topic socially and legally, this study lays the foundation for future research. Given the specificities of the phenomenon of trafficking in transgender people, the deductive approach method was used, while the procedural method used was the monographic one, using
the indirect documentation research technique. The main results of the research indicate that social vulnerability and the insertion of transsexual and transvestite women in the prostitution market are preponderant factors for them to become victims of trafficking, in addition to the insufficiency of effective public policies to protect and support these victims.
