Resumen:
Bean-cowpea is a leguminous with high nutricional value, short cycle for maturity and tolerant to the drought. Cultivar Pingo de Ouro is one of more cultivated in Frutuoso Gomes-RN' county, due to its social and economic importance. However, in this study aimed the analysis agronomic of cowpea fertilized with different doses of caprine manure and sowing densities. The experiment was conducted at the Rafael Fernandes Experimental Farm, Alagoinha's district, Mossoró-RN' countryside, from October to December 2016. The experimental delineatment was of complete blocks, casualized with the treatments arranged in factorial scheme 4 x 2, with three repetitions: the first factor was constituited by different doses of caprine manure (0,0; 0,5; 1,0 e 2,0 kg m-1). The second factor by different sowing densities (75.000 e 37.500 plants ha-1). The cultivar utilized was the Pingo de Ouro. The characteristics evaluated were: average length of plant-1 pod, average number of seed pod-1; weight of 100 dry grains and productivity of dry grains. The major productivity of dry grains was observed with the incorporation of 2 kg m-1 de caprine manure with values of 1.162,4 kg ha-1 and 234 kg 2.000 m-2, respectively. In concern to the densities of sowing, the majors were observed in the density of 75.000 plants ha-1, with average values of 693,4 kg ha-1 and 138,6 kg 2.000 m-2. The utilization of caprine manure associated to the major sowing density, in an agronomically viable alternative for the planting of bean-cowpea.
