Resumo:
This research aimed to analyze slave domestic work
contemporary, in Brazil, through a study of Brazilian history, the doctrine
and current legislation on the subject, which is of great relevance to the Law of
Labor and Human Rights. The study analyzes the impact and causes of
slave domestic work in Brazil, with the aim of eradicating it and promoting
the human rights of victims. The investigation involves analysis of laws and cases
of rescues carried out by the Public Ministry of Labor related to the topic.
In this monograph, he analyzed as a paradigmatic example the case of
Madalena Gordiano, a domestic worker who was rescued from the residence
of the bosses, after 38 years living in conditions analogous to slavery, in the city
from Patos de Minas in the State of Minas Gerais. The research analyzed articles
scientific studies, monographs, master's and doctoral theses that deal with the
theme. The proposed study was carried out through bibliographical research and
doctrinal, being structured in three chapters, which begins with the history of
domestic work in Brazil, seeking from these understandings
conceptualize domestic slave labor, as well as outline the majority profile of
category, which is predominantly female and black, and finally takes place
an analysis of the role of the Public Ministry of Labor in combating
to slave labor.
