sexual. Now, it is necessary to analyze the way in which the Public Power has
expressed in the face of such cases and whether these victims have actually been cared for
appropriately, receiving the psychological support that is due to – at least,
try – ease the pain of having been violated. It is known that there is a certain precariousness in the public system, regarding the guarantee of protective rights to the vulnerable in question, as well as there are complexities regarding the application of public initiatives and policies related to combating the problem in question. The main objective of this research is to demonstrate whether there is indifference on the part of legal authorities towards the psychological treatment necessary for victims of child sexual violence in the Itaporanga-PB region in the pandemic and post-pandemic period. Furthermore, as specific objectives, we have: collect data regarding the number of cases of child sexual violence in the municipalities covered by the district of Itaporanga-PB in the time period of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as in the post-pandemic period; gather information regarding the availability of professionals in the field of psychology and psychiatry in municipalities to provide the necessary assistance to child victims of such a crime; identify the profile of the aggressors, as well as the standard profile of the victims, according to the records made at the Guardianship Councils that serve the municipalities under analysis, leading to an understanding of the effectiveness of the security guaranteed to children as people belonging to society; and, examine the effectiveness of public policies
aimed at protecting the rights guaranteed in the Child and Adolescent Statute
and how the authorities' neglect, most of the time, from the complaint to
offering post-trauma psychological treatment may cause harm to
victims of this violence. As for the methodology, the hypothetical-deductive method was chosen, using the statistical procedure method analyzed from a quantitative perspective. Finally, it was concluded that, despite the precariousness of the public system in general, the municipalities analyzed manage to deal well, as much as possible, with the situations presented, providing the necessary psychological support, as well as the necessary treatments for the victims.
