Resumo:
Obstetric nursing has sought demedicalized care, centered on women's autonomy and
rights. Hence the importance of quality care without traces of obstetric violence of any
kind. In this sense, the objective of this work is to identify the forms of perinatal assistance
and obstetric care as well as their relationships with obstetric violence experienced by
women in the light of an integrative review. This is a research with a qualitative approach
of the integrative literature review type. The results indicate types of obstetric violence
experienced by women from prenatal care to childbirth and the postpartum period. Thus,
in general, the main types of obstetric violence were found, which were: lack of
communication, refusal of a companion, physical, verbal and psychological violence and
also the main protection strategies, which are affective communication, presence of a
companion , prioritization of care and health education actions. Therefore, it was observed
in the study that women suffer daily from acts of obstetric violence. In view of this, there
is a need to offer and implement tools and/or resources that will reduce these cases in
society, so that these women can be properly protected from the moment they discover
their pregnancy, until the moment of childbirth and the postpartum period.
