Resumo:
Preschool school architecture is an issue that, although much debated, still has dificulties
in translating into reality. The importance of the environment is known as an
intensiier in the learning of children, however most kindergarten in Brazil have a standardized
architecture that usually does not relect the space where it is inserted and
does not use its full potential. Thus, this work has as object of study the understanding
and application of the parameters of school architecture in the scope of early childhood
education. The objective is to elaborate a preliminary architectural project of a preschool
for the region of The Street Market of Campina Grande - PB. Given the low supply of this
type of equipment in the city, it was observed the need for a building of early childhood
education presented by surveys of public authorities for the Street Market region. Therefore,
supported by the literature of authors such as KOWALTOWSKI (2011), AGOSTINHO
(2003) and the technical manuals of the Ministry of Education, this paper presents a
proposal in response to these demands.
