Resumen:
The production of solid waste has increased in proportion to the population and economic growth.
But not all municipalities have appropriate destination for the waste, which has been of concern to
the government and researchers. Regarding the problem this paper intends to analyze the organic
compound produced in the waste recycling plant in the city of Hope, MO, for use in agriculture to
replace chemical fertilizer. After collection of solid urban waste is passes through the same
selection and then is conducted to the composting period of approximately 120 days enough time
for the material to be decomposed and can be used in agriculture. After characterization in the laboratory it was found that the organic compound derived from urban waste can be used in the
fertilization of agricultural areas once present levels of macro and micronutrients and organic matter
suitable for agricultural production. The compound exhibits physico-chemical and biological
processes within acceptable limits and allowed by law for agricultural use. In addition to preserving
the environment the organic compound may be used as fertilizer in agriculture benefits for the soil
and plants.
