Résumé:
Remote work gained significant attention during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the
implementation of social distancing measures to contain the spread of the virus. This
work model presents challenges and opportunities for both employers and
employees. The general objective of this Final Conclusion Paper (FCP) is to analyze
the effects of remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in the
post-pandemic period, based on a quantitative-qualitative field research conducted at
the Pro-Rectorate of Administration of UFCA (Federal University of Cariri). The
research aims to answer the following research problem: How dos managers and
public servants at the Federal University of Cariri - UFCA experience remote work,
and what are the impacts of this work modality on their quality of life and work
productivity? To address this question, a bibliographic and direct documentary
research is conducted, using the deductive approach and systematic procedure
method, aided by the comparative method. At the end of the empirical research, the
following results were obtained: Characteristics, profile, suggestions, criticisms,
among other relevant information. Based on these findings, recommendations were
proposed for managers and employees, through the elaboration of a technical
product embodied in the Telework Manual, which can be used in the educational
public service to maximize the benefits and minimize the challenges of this work
modality, which is being utilized in many activities and will undoubtedly continue
expanding in labor scenarios in Brazil and worldwide.
