The helmintiasis occupy prominence place among the factors that limit goat production and your control has been accomplished, through the indiscriminate use of antihelminthic favoring development of antihelminthic drug resistance. The effectiveness of plants, são (Momordica charantia) caetano melon, (Operculina hamiltonii) purgative potato and (Curcubita pepo L) pumpkin seed and of the alcoholic são caetano melon extracts and of purgative potato; and of (Calotropis procera) silk flower essential oil was evaluated, about goats natural helminths infections. Forty moxotó males goats with age being six and 12
months were used, divided in four groups, three corresponding to each treatment and a group control, for each experiment. The parasitological exams followed in days zero, 30 and 60 for the Gordon & Whitlock (1938) methodology. The administered dosage verbally were 4,5g/kg for body weight of são caetano melon leaf, 0,45g/kg for purgative potato bran and 1,9g/kg for pumpkin seed bran., for plants in natura experiment; and 2,07 mL/ Kg for são caetano melon extract, 0,56 mL/Kg for purgative potato extract and 0,002 mL/ kg for silk flower essential oil. After 30 and 60 treatment days, a medium reduction of 63,06% and 2,70% was observed for melon of são caetano treated group, 63,09% and 72,32% for purgative potato treated group and 87,31% and 24,00% for pumpkin seed treated group. For the melon of são caetano extract treated group was observed a reduction medium percentile of 44,67%, postreatment 30 days and 56,56% postreatment 60 days, for the purgative potato extract treated group the percentile was 85,96% and of 90,52% in respective periods. For the essential oil of silk flower group the percentile was 37, 57% postreatment 60 days. The results indicated this plants and studied extracts, can be used as alternative in goats helmintosis gastrintestinais control, promoting like this, a viable ecologic control.
