Abstract

This dissertation proposes to study the development of agriculture of Rio Grande do Sul, in the 1960-90 period, identifying and interpreting the main specificities regional, sectoral and social policies with a view to understanding of the process in its complexity. The hypothesis of work is that it is a capitalist process of development that, given the different situations in which takes on specific forms in accordance with the peculiarities regional, sectoral and social levels in which it is mitigation or mitigation, has deepened the inequalities existing. In the first chapter the analysis is presented. regional level, seeking to apprehend and interpret characteristics of the development as to its distribution in the space. The second chapter is aimed at sectoral analysis, purpose of identifying the core elements of the process in the economic activities of the state. At the The third chapter is the social analysis, which aims to identify the main social groups and their relationship with the development dynamics. In conclusion, the main aspects identified in the analyzes through a synthesis work that allows us to recover the vision of totality and to understand the central characteristics of the process as a whole. The study confirms his hypothesis work by clearly identifying numerous disparities as well as as the expansion of the same, in depth and diversity, during the period analyzed.
