Resumen:
This thesis aims to study the rise process of Jair Messias Bolsonaro to the Planalto Palace, understanding the phenomenon through his Facebook page. We had the challenge of analyzing the aspects that were politically channeled by an Army Captain as he walked to the most important elected office in the country. To do so, we first made a more general cut through neoliberal issues, observing within this context the strength of neoconservatism and, finally, we directed our reflection to gender issues. Along the way, we collected posts with images between June 2013 and October 2018 (period that includes his entry into the network until his victory for President) from the said digital core, later transforming them into quantitative data. Then we moved on to other forms of approach, bringing how militarism was the family's gateway into politics and that they did not give way to other right-wing actors as protagonists of the network. In the end, we highlight the hyperexposure of childhood sexuality as an instrument for the emergence of hatred against sectors of the left, conveying the idea of moral chaos and pointing to the religious/military field as an instrument of salvation. And, finally, we highlight how female invisibility and the performances of a heteronormative masculinity were mobilized electorally in this itinerary of disputes in Brazilian society.
