Resumo:
Xukuru education faces significant challenges in the 21st century, including the preservation of traditional culture and values, adaptation to modern needs and access to quality education. However, there are reasons for optimism, as Xukuru education is strengthening as a tool of resistance and empowerment. Given this reality, the aim of this study was to analyze Xukuru mythical narratives, particularly the discourse of Ororubá, to understand how they influence and inform Xukuru enchanted pedagogy. This analysis also seeks to comprehend how this pedagogy contributes to the concept of “bem viver” (living well) within the Xukuru community. The research employed a qualitative and ethnographic approach, combining the collection and analysis of Xukuru mythical narratives, interviews with Xukuru community members, and participatory observations in educational contexts within the Cana Brava Village. Participant observation allowed for a deep immersion into the dynamics of Xukuru education. This work is relevant as it provides an indepth understanding of Xukuru enchanted pedagogy, a unique educational approach based on community mythical narratives. The research contributes to knowledge about indigenous education in Brazil and offers insights into how traditional pedagogies can be used to promote “bem viver”. Partnerships with organizations and institutions that share the vision of preserving Xukuru culture are a valuable source of support. In the end, the journey of Xukuru education is a story of resilience and hope, inspiring everyone to value and protect the richness of indigenous cultures that enrich our society. It is a call to action and collaboration in promoting cultural diversity and building a more inclusive and respectful future for indigenous peoples. In (non) final considerations, the research demonstrated that Xukuru mythical narratives are a source of inspiration for Xukuru enchanted pedagogy. These narratives convey essential values and knowledge to the community, such as the importance of connecting with nature, solidarity, and respect for diversity. Xukuru enchanted pedagogy, in turn, contributes to living well within the community, promoting the holistic development of individuals and the creation of a sustainable future.
