Abstract:
Diffusion coeficients of methanol in zeolites were determined from experimental data of Becila and coworkers. These authors utilized 4A zeolites modífied by exchange of sodium by potasium in the ratio of 10%, 25% and 45%. The equilibrium curves were
adjusted using the model of Freundlich isotherms. The uptake curves
were simulated by a model of pore diffusion of SMITH e KELLER, with
non linear equilibrium. Constant and variable diffusion coeficient was
utilized in this work. The line method with PDEONE alqorithm was
utilized to discreet the spatial variable, and the GEAR package with
integrator to solve resulting ordinary differencial equations. The
diffusion coeficients were obtained with non linear regresion using
the LEVENBERG—MARQUART algorithm.
