Disinfectants are products that must be submitted to Health Surveillance, respecting
their singularities, and must be produced, stored, transported and discharged in order to
provide the necessary security for their use. The circulation of forbidden sanitizing products
in the country put at risk the health population, because their formulations do not have own
ingredients for purpose informed, or contain in a small quantity or increased, being
considered, for this reason, & trouble for public health and a challenge for Health Surveillance.
The forbidden sanitizing products are interesting due to low price, because they do not serve
what they promise and, mostly, are products that have strong colors and nice smell, however
they are not efficient against microorganisms. Differently from the forbidden disinfectants,
the registered disinfectants have a much higher price, color and fragrance are not so pleasant,
but they are extremely effective. Therefore, the present study intends analyze the
effectiveness of forbidden disinfectants front of Staphylococcus aureus e Pseudomonas
aeruginosa samples. In this study, two forbidden and one registered disinfectants were tested.
After that, it was established a low efficiency in one of the forbidden disinfectant, while the
other had no efficiency. Otherwise, when the tests were developed with the registered one it
showed e superior efficiency.
