Resumo:
The Covid-19 pandemic has led to changes in several behaviors in society,
with the use of the internet and digital social media being one of the most affected. In this case,
The objective is to evaluate the usage profile and users of the internet and social media
digital data during the period from 2018 to 2022 in Brazil. The study is characterized as
documentary, descriptive and exploratory, analyzing the behavior of internet users
through reports and results from CETIC (Regional Study Center for
Development of the Information Society), responsible body that carries out research
on information technology in Brazil, highlighting indicators C3, C5 and C6,
respectively. The results demonstrate variations and growth in access and use of
devices for internet connection for users with lower incomes, in addition to having membership
of almost 30 million users using the internet daily. Thus, it was possible to infer
about the use of the internet and social networks from the perspectives of age, income, social class,
level of education, as well as the tools used, with a focus on the growth of
adherence to social networks. In this way, guiding information was presented for several
social spheres, demonstrating the increase in daily internet use at the expense of
sporadic, presenting a reality that may be caused by the adhesion of new users
to the internet as well as an increase in the frequency of use by those who already used it, but
less frequent form.
