Resumo:
The world is involved in an unprecedented health crisis, Covid-19. This pandemic has its origin in zoonotic vectors if the World Health Organization,
in other words, man had contact with animals that were hosting
this viral modality. However, this situation becomes more serious when
it is discovered that the virus can be found in untreated water and sewage,
including in the water we use for our leisure. Thus, this essay aims to
answer the following question: is there a need to change the ecological
legal paradigm in Brazilian sanitation policy? Our general objective was
to analyze the current scenario of sanitation in Brazil, having as speciic
to study the relationship between sanitation and pandemic, as well as to
propose a diferentiated model to prevent new crises or for a post pandemic.
Therefore, through bibliographic research through a survey speciically in
the ield of socio-environmental, water and health studies that complements
the often limited perspective of Legal Science, in addition to documentary
analysis and secondary data. Therefore, there was a need to change the
paradigm of conventional Water Security to Ecological Water Security,
which aims to provide not only quantity but quality of water and to bring
it together, beneiting all forms of life.
