Resumo:
Over the years, technology has brought significant changes to society, where the use of the web for accessing services and information has become increasingly pervasive. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that all citizens, regardless of any disability or other impediment, can access content and services available on the web. In Brazil, the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) introduced the Brazilian Technical Standard (NBR) 17060 in 2022, a technical standard for accessibility aimed at eliminating barriers encountered in the use of web pages and mobile applications, thereby facilitating access for people with disabilities to these virtual environments. The objective of this research is to assess the impact of this regulation on web applications commonly used by users. To achieve this, a sample composed of the webApps Amazon (e-commerce) and YouTube (video) was observed, analyzing their accessibility standards and evaluating their level of compliance with the standard. The analysis tools used for this purpose were axe DevTools and WAVE Evaluation Tool, with the intention of presenting a report describing the common problems identified during the investigation, as well as suggestions for adapting the sites to the standards.
