Résumé:
The searching for efficiency, improving and an appropriate sizing of the equipment of the phases that involves the comminution process, has taken countless scholars and large and small mining companies to study the ray material, and the beneficiation process of the pegmatitic minerals, aiming its application in the industry optimally. To carry out this research, the mineral sample and feldspar albite, both from pegmatitic province of Borborema, especially of the Garimpo Alto Serra Branca were collected to the execution of technological tests and laboratory scale processing. These samples were identified and prepared in granulometry of 200 meshes, and then conducted to the physical tests, mineralogical characterization and thermal analysis. In performing the processing trials, there was a need to do a primary and secondary crushing to achieve a certain particle size meet the specifications to feed the mil. The feldspar albite sample was reduced initially to a granulometry below 25mm. In secondary crushing, the jaw crusher was used to reduce the particle size of the sample to values less than 5 mm. In the milling phase was used a porcelain mil due to the concern of non-contamination with iron. The milling time used to each test was in the range of 10 minutes and were made in 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 min. In the sizing of the COOMIPEL equipment was used the method developed by the Metso manufacturer, that is made with the help of curves and operation tables together with the Taggart criterion and the Bond’s equation. The results of the physical tests and characterization showed that it is feldspar Albite. As far as the information of the tests in the beneficiation laboratory was promising, where we had 25% of the granulometry we longed for from the feed material. In relation to resizing, the application of the manufacturer made possible to suggest an alteration configuration flow chart of the COOMIPEL Comminution circuit.
