Résumé:
The present study proposes to support a philosophical methodology for teaching Philosophy in High School, taking as a philosophical element the “Aesthetic Dimension”, developed by the German philosopher and sociologist, Herbert Marcuse (1898-1979). The present study took place, initially, through a bibliographical research on the concept of “Aesthetic Dimension”, which had as characteristic an exploratory research. Subsequently, the work was developed through the use of participant-research, as a technical procedure, at the Technical Integral Citizen School “Alfredo Pessoa de Lima”, located in the municipality of Solânea, Paraíba state, with the participation of the philosophy professor and of thirty high school students during the execution of the philosophical workshop, which was developed via Google Meet, and with the support of Google Classroom and WhatsApp. In this context, it was possible to see that the Marcuse “aesthetic dimension” can provide opportunities in the classroom for an aesthetic-philosophical experience, which allows subjects to develop their own thinking about reality, since the arts have the potential to denounce and accuse reality, showing that there is an alienation that imprisons man through the dominant ideology present in contemporary industrial society, which represses the senses to the detriment of instrumentalized reason. The use of the "aesthetic dimension" applied in the classroom, making use of songs that make up the cultural repertoire of students, made possible the existence of a teaching of philosophy that teaches philosophy, since through these conditions the philosophical experience is possible, which allows students to develop perception and rationality about reality and about themselves.
