Resumo:
The aim of this research is to analyze the interfaces between the creative economy and handicrafts. To this end, three chapters were written. The first article analyzes the evolution of scientific publications in the field of creative economy from 1945 to 2022. The bibliometric procedure was used to map publications in the Web Of Science database, with the support of the CitNetExplorer software. The analysis found that the publications contributed to different areas, such as geography, environmental studies, business and others, indicating that it is a multidisciplinary area. The second article identified the categories and central aspects of studies on the creative economy and handicrafts in scientific publications from 1945 to 2022. It was a bibliographical survey based on Web Of Science and Scopus. The data was analyzed using Bibliometrix software, as well as Iramuteq. The results indicated that studies in the area are divided into four research categories, namely the impact of crafts, aspects related to the craft product, social networks and the characteristics of the craftsman. Finally, the third article analyzed the interfaces between handicrafts and the creative economy, based on a case study of the Sereias da Penha Artisan Project, located in João Pessoa, Paraíba. A qualitative/exploratory case study was carried out. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and secondary data. The data was analyzed using content analysis and ATLAS.ti software. The results show that the traditional knowledge passed on by craftspeople contributes to the creative economy, since traditional knowledge is a key factor. In addition, the symbolic value of the product is an essential attribute for both themes, since it has a high cultural value. Furthermore, social interactions appear to facilitate local creative capacities, which tends to strengthen the area of the creative economy and handicrafts in economic, social and environmental terms.
