Resumo:
In this essay seeks an interdisciplinary dialogue between History and Arts, the latter as a means of conducting discussions for the Teaching of History. We propose to support educators in understanding the image codes that are exposed in them. Considering its importance as a pedagogical resource and the contribution it makes to the identification of cultural and social, political and ideological elements. The analysis of these symbols that are converted into speeches that show us alternatives so that we can work with them in the classroom, both laws 10.639/03 and 11.645/08. In view of these supports, we will use the pictographic resources of Jean Baptiste Debret and Johann Moritz Rugen, showing proposals and possibilities for ethnic-racial relations. To analyze these images, we adopted the methodology correlating it with the iconographic method where we used Peter Burke, Erwin Panofsky to consolidate our discussions. Thus, faced with these ideological and ethnocentric problems, we seek a fair and egalitarian society.
