Resumen:
In order to analyze the uses of the Internet as a field for the production of historical and
scientific knowledge, this paper will discuss and try to establish some links between the uses
of the Internet and the construction of historical knowledge. It was developed based on the
study of works highlighted by historiography, such as Peter Burke's "A Social History of
Knowledge" and Manuel Castells' "The Internet Galaxy", as well as concepts put forward by
scholars who have set out to study the subject, such as Bruno Latour and Michel de Certeau.
In contrast, was analyzed data from a survey conducted with a select group of students at the
Federal University of Campina Grande, Cajazeiras campus, with some of the History students.
In order to understand how the institution's academic community produces knowledge through
the use of the Internet and how it shares the information passed on.
