Da omissão denunciada: negligência intrafamiliar contra crianças e adolescentes no Creas/Mossoró-RN.

Abstract

This paper aims to carry out an analysis of cases of family neglect against children in the town of Mossley from data collected at the Centre of Social Assistance Specialized Reference (Creas) for the period from january 2009 to july 2012. In this sense work intrafamily neglect against children and adolescents, highlighting their impact, the main aggressors, as well as the age and sex of the victims, considering it as part of one human social phenomena, history, purpose, and multidetermined which afects everyone indiscriminately: violence. We conclude that violence and its various expressions is a reality in the lives of millions of children and adolescents worldwide. Furthermore, the data obtained in call attention to the gap between the existing denounced violence and that it is still far from representing the true numbers and experiences of these individuals.
