Resumo:
Certain sporting gestures and modalities present a strong artistic character in the eyes of
the viewers and even of the practitioners. But this does not necessarily mean that sport and art
present similarities. However, due to the aesthetic appeal in corporal practices that aim at the
production and the reproduction of bodies by media influence in a real attempt to construct and
represent the beautiful body, it ends up putting physical activity and its virtual representations in video
games as an aesthetic medium and of production similar to art. In view of this scenario, the objective
was to analyze the extent to which the sports spectacle of the media and video games approach the
sport of art, for which qualitative research was carried out with students from public high school and
higher education, seeking the construction of a reflection between sports, video games and the art
from the perspective of the aesthetics of human movement.
