Resumo:
Starting from the fissure in modern temporality and taking the description and designation
of the present time as Broad Present, this essay proposes that the images produced by the
audiovisual fiction of films and series constitute the presentification of absent futures. When
dealing with ideas of the future, these images become “futurities”; by identifying what is
absent due to the closure of the horizon of modern expectations, they gain a “spectral”
power, which can be named as spectral-images of futurities.
