Abstract:
This text chronicles my experience as an artist, researcher and feminist in the city of Assis-SP through
the photographic series "Burned" try to evoke notions such as the witch hunt and the colonization, burning happens
in vacant lots, because of dry weather or when some resident wants to "clean up" the land of weeds. These same
spaces, vacant lots are spaces of fear, when he circled back, afraid to suffer abuse in those places, we have reports
of harassment and persecution, a sparsely populated region and near the University. Through the photos, invite
friends and do self portraits able to announce how the practice of hunting of witches, metaphorically can talk about
stalking and harassing women in the streets of the city. As well as the ashes there left, refer to violence suffered, but
can also be a symbol of resistance and survival practices to violence.
Keywords: Decolonization, feminism, contemporary art.
