Resumo:
This monographic report presents research carried out within the scope of Geography Teaching and its relationship with Rural Education, which originates from involvement with an extension project entitled “Production of teaching resources in teaching geography for rural schools”. carried out by the Geography and Countryside Education Teaching Laboratory – LEGECAMPO, during the year 2022, developed at the Agrotechnical Dep. Evaldo Gonçalves de Queiroz school in the municipality of Sumé- PB. The intention of this action within the scope of the project was the creation of an activity notebook, with a compilation of word searches relating to the content of geographic science, as an instrument to enhance learning. In this way, the research had the general objective of building a teaching resource entitled “Word Search Notebooks for Geography Teaching”, with varied themes and reporting the experience of its application in the school context. To achieve our objectives, we adopted the qualitative research approach, specifically Participatory Research. In the end, we verified that the use of word searches in school activities was a positive reinforcement that contributed to the students' teaching-learning process, also helping with their motor and cognitive development, in addition to interacting with the students' reality.
