Résumé:
The present work proposes to make a comparison between the actions carried out by the protagonist of the Parable of the Prodigal Son, present in the New Testament of the Bible, in the Gospel of Luke, and those of the narrator-character of the novel Lavoura Arcaica, by Raduan Nassar. Through lifting part of the critical fortune, we collect countless works already carried out with this theme. In this way, we work with the hypothesis that reopening this analytical perspective can lead us to review the conclusions of other researchers and contribute with new contributions. Soon, this research is characterized as bibliographical of a qualitative and basic character, with comparative analysis between the protagonists of the two works. The theoretical basis of this work is the concept of comparison presented by Kaiser (1980) and Carvalhal (2006). Already the critical works by we consulted were authored by the following researchers: Madeira (2014); Pinto (1995); Rodrigues (2010); Salles (2009), among others.
