Resumo:
This work constitutes a study of the relations of production that evolve the small family production in the Colonial West Region of Santa Catarina. It is constituted basically by a set of empirical investigations and theoretical reflections that enabled the rescue of the genesis and later unfoldings of the relations between the small family production and the agroindustry in the said micro region. We set out to analyze the form assumed by the relations between the small family production and the agroindustry. In this way, M.R.C.C0.C. is taken as the concrete substrate of our study. The choice for this micro region is due to two reasons. Firstly, we have already defined a knowledge of the region where we carry out two stages together with rural communities. On the other hand, this micro region, together with the Colonial Micro region of the Rio do Peixe Valley, forms the main productive region of swine and birds in Brazil. Small family production is the basis of agriculture in this region. In the text, the term "Catarinense West" refers to the fairly homogeneous set formed by the two micro regions of the west of Santa Catarina. The precariousness of our research conditions led us to concentrate our research efforts on M. R. C. 0. C. Between March and July 1986 we visited around 20 municipalities in the region and conducted 76 interviews among small producers under different conditions of life. we visited and conducted interviews with refrigerators; trade unions; "landless" camps; prefectures; agricultural research centers; CPTs, and so on. With this we set out on an empirical basis to carry out our study, trying to retain the most essential determinations to achieve the objective we propose. This work is divided into 5 parts. In the first part we rescue the debate on small family production and capitalism, from the classics of Marxist thought to the current unfolding of this debate. We also place the general theoretical delimitations guiding this work. In the second part, in Chapters 2 and 3 we reconstituted the process of colonization of M.R.C. 0. Historically and economically. We rescued the process of commodification of small family production and the emergence of agroindustrial capital. As well as the development of this process until the middle of the 60's. In the third part in Chapters 4 and 5, we analyze the expansion of agroindustrial capitals originated in the west of Santa Catarina and its transformation into large economic conglomerates of national expression. At the same time, we analyze the historical conditions that led to a closer relationship between small production and agribusiness. That is, the emergence of the subordination relationships of small production that led to the great expansion of local agroindustrial capitals. In the fourth part, in chapters 6 and 7 we analyze the process of integrating family units into agroindustrial capital and its developments, with the purpose of analyzing the transformations at the level of the family unit and at the level of small production as a whole. The fifth part is the conclusion of this work.
