Resumen:
This research entitled “Social technologies in schools in the field of Cariri Paraibano and its contextualization in the school curriculum ” does part of the Center for Studies and Research in Rural Education, Training of Teachers and Pedagogical Practice – Nupeforp, whose general objective was identify which social technologies are present in rural schools located in Cariri Paraibano and the way they are inserted in the school curriculum from a perspective of contextualization of Education. For Therefore, we had the following specific objectives: Map social Technologies present in schools in the Cariri countryside of Paraíba; Identify how the social technologies were implemented in schools and how they work monitoring as educational practices and verify how the social technologies are addressed in the teacher’s pedagogical practice and their contribution to the contextualization of the curriculum. The qualitative approach, in a descriptive perspective, guided the procedures that were used, which consisted of two stages: exploratory study and field research (Gil, 2010). The Research Field took place in two rural schools in municipalities in Cariri Paraíba, which have in their area diferente social technologies implemented, and the research participants were the pedagogical coordinators and teachers from the aforementioned schools. We verified at the end of the research that ST are extremely important both for school and for the community, as it contributes to a new vision of carrying out school and non-school education, that is, they contribute to that has a Contextualized Education and a contextualized curriculum, respecting the multiple diversities existing in the Semiarid region.
